Exploer has been to Ying Ying Tea House

Me, the exploer from China, I have to say , actually YingYing tea house is one of my favourite tea house that I have been. Ying Ying Teahouse is situated in the corner of Dasmarinas cor. Yuchengco Streets. It's not so prominent that people would easily pass by without noticing the place. But a visit would yield delightful tastes from congee to siomai to sioalung pao and many more. prices are very affordable and the servings are very filling. Whatever time diners go - breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, dinner or late night snacks - the place is always full of people!
I have been their during the mid night , but you still do not to wait for your orders too much time, they serve you quickly and accurattly, there are kinds of food style from mainland, hongkong, even singapore style.Unlike some other restaurant, even during the eating peak period, their service is fast and make you satisfied.

I have been for eating my breakfast once , I went there around 7.30 I remember. That was Sunday morning with rainy weather, not too much people there. but still ,the restaurant had opened regularly. I sit down and the waiter gave a menu to me just approach me right away. He served the hot tea with a cup and spoon and folk were put in a cup. The interesting thing is the cup could change its color or picture on it if the water is hot inside the cup, like a hot sense equipment.

I ordered pork and shrimp siomai which is my favorite, and raost duck congee .Because it was the first time that I want to try the congee here in the Philippines. I just wonder how does it taste here in the Philippines and want to compare it with my hometown. In fact when you say congee, the taste is sweet or the taste of the rice and beans themselves, in my hometown. Even we cook congee in our daily life, we do not prefer cooking the salty congee. Unless there is special demand from others. Most likely we put not only rice, but also 5 or more other ingredients into the congee cooker. It is called Babao porridge. With many kinds of rice and many kinds of beans. It is natural and full of nutrition.
While waiting for my meal, I drank the service tea from them. I could aste out that the tea is not that fresh but you know, for the purpose of save the cost, every restaurant would do so except there is extra order for the fresh tea. The tea is more likely they boiled it for a long time and made it very thick, then just mixed water with it and became an instant way to serve it.
Only in three minutes the congee was served and also with the pork shrimp siomai. The congee is very simple, I tried to stir it and then I found out the rice was cooked may be last night and they put only four pieces of duck meat in it.Obviously it is not enough for me because I admit I have a big stomach. But I have to say the pork and shrimp siomai it still as well as before, meaty, with real shrimps, even the smelling was so good. It is better for me enjoy it with hot spicy sauce. hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... unforgetable taste.
After finished my meal, I just hinted the waiter for billing out, they quickly gave a small piece of paper with a billing plate and e check frame. I just wonder if there is a need for giving the plate and check frame to a customer who took only  a breakfast? But anyway, it is probably their habbits to give a convinient way for both customers and cashier.
